To make matters worse, once i got there, my new friend wanted to attack some huge monster in addition to the small, easy ones the quests were for. I foolishly assumed this would be a quick, easy battle, which it was, but then it led to a quest to swim to the north continent (since i can’t fly yet). For example, i had a quest to fight someone in a hanger. I don’t think you can abandon them after taking them (or if you can, i don’t know how) and they lock you from changing party members or taking on another story/affinity quest. Tip: Be VERY careful about accepting affinity quests. By the time i finish this game, i’m going to have nightmares about certain lyrics. Like some others, i do not like the song that plays when i’m in town and it is annoying that this song plays ALL of the time in town given how much time you spend doing things in town. I spend too much time in New LA to hear the same two songs on repeat every five minutes, so I wouldn’t mind a little more variety there, or at least some ambient gaps between loops now and again.Īs for the volume of music-to-dialogue in the cut-scenes, it doesn’t really affect my opinion of the music itself, although I wouldn’t mind if they would have lowered the music volume so I wouldn’t have to use sub-titles. My only real complaint is that there just isn’t enough of it. I think the soundtrack actually does the game a service in that it makes the experience both memorable, and helps it stand out from its peers. I welcome change when it works, and it works here. Not every composer need strive to deliver the next Song of Storms (Ocarina of Time).
